ASL Stay Home, Work Safe Extension

The City of San Antonio and Bexar County have extended the Stay Home, Work Safe orders until May 18, 2020 or until amended.

The orders require that all people 10 years or older must continue to wear a cloth face covering when in public or when visiting essential services or reopened services, where it is difficult to maintain six feet of distance from others.This order is consistent with the order issued by Governor Greg Abbott to allow certain businesses to re-open.The Governor’s order allow the following businesses to reopen at 25% occupancy:

  • retail stores
  • restaurants
  • movie theaters
  • malls
  • museums
  • golf courses
  • places of worship, and
  • libraries (City owned libraries will remain closed).

The Governor’s order does not mandate the opening of these businesses.Other types of businesses, such as barbershops, hair & nail salons, gyms, and bars will remain closed for now.
